This year, I held a newborn baby for the first time. That tender head resting in my hands. A week later, while my mother was making breakfast, I put my hand on her head and felt that same tenderness.
My sister has never lost the innocence of childhood. When she wants chocolates, she comes to me. I know the ones she likes. I drive her around the lake and we listen to her favourite songs.
I revisited my childhood journey alone. I stopped by that temple. I felt something. I didn't question it.
Recently, I led someone through that world. Everything we carried fell away until there were simply two children in the hills. That same child carried his stamps across the world.
Follow Me Home comes from these moments, and from beyond what I know.
I have made many things. This is the closest to me.
Ever onwards to love.
